My favorite part about Valentine’s Day is the cute little Valentine cards that kids pass out at school. You know. Those little cards that are only really giftable only one day a year. (Because if you mailed them, they would definitely get lost.)
When I taught 2nd grade, my favorite part of the Valentine’s Day party was when the students handed out those cards. The kids would go around the room placing their sweet little Valentines into the different beautifully decorated Valentine mailboxes.
My favorite part. I loved seeing all of the creative ideas and funny Valentine puns. Designers and writers really get creative with their Valentine puns. They really made my Valentine’s Day special.
Although purchasing Valentine printable cards is a great idea when looking for something specific (or editable), you can also find lots of cool free options out there. I’ve gathered 25 of my favorite free Valentine printable cards that your kids are sure to love. Just attach a special themed treat (or stick with more general Valentine candy) and your Valentines are done.

How to Print Your Valentine Printable Cards
You can easily print your Valentine cards, toppers and tags at home. This will save you a trip to the print shop (one of my favorite parts about printables).
To print your Free Printable Valentines, download your favorite design. Print on heavy white cardstock (check out our favorite cardstock here). Trim your cards using a paper cutter or scissors. (affiliates)
Then, attach your Valentine’s Day treat. I like to tie the treat to the card using baker’s twine or Valentine washi tape. (affiliate)
If you don’t have an at home color printer, you can also send your Valentine printable cards to a print shop for printing. Our favorite online print shop is Prints of Love. You can check them out here. (affiliate)
Personalize your Valentines
The only issue with Free Printable Valentines is that you can’t easily personalize them. Although your child can sign their name, depending on their age and desire, this can become tedious when you need 30 cards for a class Valentine exchange.
Another option is to check out Editable Valentines. These designs are still printable, but can be edited with your child’s name. Then, you can download the design, print and trim.
