REFLECTION AND PREPARATORY PRAYER GUIDE
REFLECTION
In these verses, we encounter a disheartened man of God named Samuel. God poses the question, "How long will you mourn for Saul?" Essentially, God is asking, "How long will you grieve for that which did not unfold as you anticipated?" (Samuel had appointed Saul as Israel’s first king, but it ended unfavorably.) Mourning is indeed a valid emotional response for processing hurts, disappointments, and losses. However, it is crucial not to adopt a perpetual state of mourning as a lifestyle. Each of us faces situations that deviate from our expectations—be it in family, finances, ministry, or dreams. Today, I urge both you and myself to consider: "How long will we let these circ*mstances immobilize us?" While expressing grief and disappointment is natural, when God instructs you to "fill your horn with oil and set out," be prepared to embrace the belief that the future success He wants you to anoint may differ from your past expectations. Maintain faith in God. He will bring about something superior for you—new opportunities, job prospects, academic success, improved relationships, and miraculous interventions. Isaiah 43:18-19 advises, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" Embrace the recognition that God is forging a path in challenging circ*mstances. This year is destined to be one of grace, salvation, and breakthroughs, but you are invited to embark on this journey with God. Hence, "put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil" (Eph. 6:11). Without the Lord's guidance, labor is in vain. I declare that the anointing oil you receive will usher in new miracles for the fulfillment of your divine destiny this year in the name of Jesus! Amen.
PREPARATION/PRACTICAL PRAYER ASSIGNMENT:
Attend a sacramental confession.
Attend daily mass if your time will permits you.
Daily fasting from 6am till (12noon or 3pm), choose any depending on your health condition but you can drink water.
Always perform acts of kindness, forgiveness and charity at any given oppurtunity as you say this prayer.
Profess the daily confession as shown below.
Say daily rosary.
Read your daily bible verses and psalms as shown in the prayers. Praise and worship.
Light your candles and decree with faith the prayer points in the prayer programme (you can write out and hold your prayer intentions while praying).
Sprinkle yourself with holy water each day after prayers.
This prayer could be said daily either in the morning, evening or midnight. So, choose any time of your choice and be consistent with the time.

In the name of Jesus, as I make this confession of the word of God into my life, I believe and I receive the power that is in the word of God into my spirit, into my soul and into my body. I command that at the name of Jesus Christ, every knee should bow, of things in heavens, of things on earth and things under the earth. I am a child of God, a child of light, a child of glory. I believe that Jesus Christ will show me mercy and forgiveness after this prayer programme. O son of David, I plead for Your mercy and forgiveness this day. I belong to You, O Lord. I am delivered from principalities, powers, dominions, and all the forces of darkness. I receive divine mercy in my family, divine mercy in my career, divine mercy in my business, divine mercy and forgiveness on my life and destiny. REFLECTION:
The Almighty God gave man dominion over all other creatures. Genesis 2.
Materially: he had dominion; because he had more than he needed.
Mentally: he had dominion; he named all the animals God created.
Maritally: it was divinely orchestrated and he was favored;
He didn't even ask for a spouse, it just came. Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife findeth a good thing, and obtainethfavour of the Lord.
Spiritually: he was a high flier; because he had one on one conversation with God. He saw the face of God in prayers.
THEN SIN/DISASTER/SLAVERY CAME: In Genesis 3, sin came and man crashed down and became a slave.
THINGS THAT CAME WITH SIN:
1. Fear: 1 John 4:18.
2. Shame: Proverbs 3:35.
3. Curses: Number 22:1-6.
4. Separation from God. God chased them out of the garden and they lost everything in one day.
5. Death: Genesis 4:8. Genesis 6:5-7.
6.Flood.
SIN IS A KILLER: AND DEADLY SLAVE MASTER:
So It can kill you physically, materially, mentally, maritally it can kill your career and separate you from the Almighty God and makes the child of God addictive/slave to sin.
REDEMPTION:
Genesis 3:14-15. The seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. Luke 1:26-33. Matthew 1:21 For he shall save his people from their sins. The promise was fulfilled at the cross.
Galatians 3:13-14. Hebrews 2:14-15.
John 10:10 I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Separation from God can be a thing of the past. Colossians 1:27. If Christ is in you, you can have hope of glory, no more shame or slavery.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1: If you are a slave to sin, LOOK UNTO JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT.
John 1:29, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Look unto Jesus now repent and pray and you can fly out of sickness, diseases, setbacks, disappointments, hardships, curses and all that came with slavery to sin. John 3:14-15, As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of God be lifted up…..
2. THE TIME IS NOW:
The time has come for you to be set free from obscurity, corruption, company of sinners, life of impurities.
Ephesians 2:5 By grace you were saved.
Romans 6:1-2 You can't continue to live a life of sin.
Romans 6:19 I'm no longer a slave to sin, I'm a child of God.
You have to show the world according to 1 John 3:8-9, He that commits sin is of the devil; I’m no more of the devil. He that is born of God does not sin, I belong to God, bye-bye to sin.
Show the world by your action not by your word alone that 2 Corinthians 5:17 is true, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. You can't be a child of God and not be radically different.
LIE NO MORE.
Ephesians 4:22-25.
No more white lies.
No more business lies.
No more exaggeration.
STEAL NO MORE.
Ephesians 4:28.
You must be a high flier Christian and not a slave.
NO MORE FORNICATION AND ADULTERY.
1 Corinthians 6:13-20 Your body is no longer your own, you were bought with a price. No sex before marriage, you are a child of God.
NO MORE ANGER.
Ephesians 4:31.
When you are angry, you are insane. You can trace the root of anger to pride.
NO ROTTEN JOKES.
Ephesians 4:29 You can't even crack rotten jokes. Your mouth is for prayer, praising God, witnessing, prophesying, issuing decrees and not for rotten jokes.
THERE MUST BE A PRICE TO PAY.
It is going to cost you something to live again the life of a living God.Philippians 3:7-11.
In Daniel 1:1-21, Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the king’s meat.
In Daniel 3:1-30, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to compromise.
NO GOING BACK.
If you really want to fly, don't go back to what you used to do.
2 Peter 2:20-22 It is better never to have been saved than to have tasted it and go back.
It is like a dog going back to its vomit or a pig that has been washed going back into the mud.
Sin is a poison to your destiny.
No matter how hungry and tempted you might be, you don’t eat a poisoned food.
CONFESSION OF SINS:
I confess my sins before you today and ask you to forgive me on the basis of your mercy, in Jesus name.
I have decided to confess all my secret sin before You and before the person in concern, help me, Lord. O Lord, my Father, help me to confess my past sin and the bad attitude inflicted on people. Fire of God, fall upon me now, and swallow whatever is in my life that is not of God in Jesus name. Any negative confession affecting my life and destiny, I destroy your effects upon my life, in Jesus name.
I release myself from every demonic confession pronounced upon my life, be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Father, by your blood, let every personal negative confession working against my life be blotted out in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, give me the grace to reveal all my secret doings to my husband/wife and the power of freedom, in Jesus name.
As from today, I am free from the yoke of anger, strife, witchcraft, adultery, hatred, fornication, lies etc, in Jesus name. Father, search me, if there is any iniquity in me that I have not said, take it out, in the name of Jesus. My FATHER, settle my case and let sin rule my life no MORE, in Jesus name. (Mention the sin that rules your life)
Blood of Jesus, arise and deliver my mouth from careless talks this year, in Jesus name. Holy Spirit, take over all my life and create in me a new heart to meet Your purpose for my life in Jesus name. Take away, Oh Lord, every vanity that have filled up my heart in Jesus name. Merciful God, You are strong but I am weak; turn my weakness to strength in Jesus name.
(At this point, go down on your knee and begin to confess every of known fault, weakness, errors and sins.)
O Lord, as I confess my sin today, let your peace and joy reign in my life now and forever, in Jesus name. Lord Jesus, I’m tired of the sin struggle in my life. I feel distant from You. My choices have not led me into the right places. I’ve listened to the whispers of my enemy instead of Your words in Scripture, and the result has been disastrous. O Lord, arise and make me whole. Oh Lord, let your goodness and mercies follow me all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus. My mouth, my hands, my legs, my eyes, my private etc, begin to reject the sin of eternal condemnation and hell, in Jesus name.

REFLECTION:
BEHOLD I WILL DO A NEW THING, HE IS A GOD OF NEW THINGS.
The just concluded year has been very challenging for many and for some it has been from one testimony to another.
Brethren, irrespective of what you passed through in year 2023, the Lord is assuring you by His word that “Behold I Will Do A New Thing “in 2024. Let’s consider few words from the scripture.
1. Stop Looking Behind (v.18)
a) Don’t expect past victories to sustain you (v.18a)
b) Don’t allow past failures to paralyse you (v.18b)
2 Start Looking Ahead (v.19)
a) See God bring newness (v.19a)
b) Anticipate God do something great (v.19b)
1. REMEMBER NOT / FORGET
God is able to do a new thing in your life throughout year 2024 but you need to forget the past. Remember not the past struggles, silent frustrations, the unpleasant situations and failures of the past year.

2. BEHOLD/SEE
The word To BEHOLD means:
To enjoy the newness of God in year 2024, you will need to have an undying hope in Christ that is backed up with an undivided attention.
See: Isa 59:1, Rev 3:20, 2 Corinth 6:2b, Rev 22:7 and 12.
3. THE NEW THING
The word NEW THING implies New is something different from the one that existed earlier. The new thing God will give you is always more than what you have in the past. What the Lord will do for you in year 2024 will be clearly different from what you had earlier experienced in Jesusname (Amen).
Again, New thing is the fashion of God, He show cases of His glory everyday (Lamentation 3: 22-23).
A New thing signifies the following:
A new name, A new status, A new blessing, breakthrough, A new song and peace in all endeavours.
May be There will be a new title, office, privileges, blessings, language, joy, victory, etc. It was after I became a priest that I discovered that priests have their language. We will say, “How is your parish doing?” So, a new thing can mean different things to different people and it also has implications and experiences; If you get promoted to the post of a manager, that means you are the new boss. It is equally a new experience for your subordinates as they will be receiving new orders, instructions and direction from their new boss. God parted the Red Sea, EX. 14:21-28, it was a new thing. The Israelites experienced this as a new way to total freedom. But to Pharaoh and his men, it was a new way for total destruction. When God says to His children He will do a new thing, it means you will move to a level of freedom you have never known before. It also means that God is about to surprise your enemies beyond recovery. The Lord is starting a new thing in your life, family, business, and ministry. Are you prepared for it?
4. NOW
The word” NOW” used in the passage means your miracles in year 2024 will surface without any further delay (Amen).
Eph 3:20 emphasise and spelt out the ability of God to do exceedingly and abundantly in the lives of His children. All you need to make it in life has been planted before now and all it needed to germinate has been supplied before now.
In conclusion, God is very ready to do it again in your life in year 2024 Keep trusting God and you will see Him in action in your life in Jesus name.
Please note that, when troubles and frustrating situations comes your way, it is never God’s intention to put you to shame but for His holy name be glorified in your life.

REFLECTION
Luke 4:18 “the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor…”
Notice He had the Holy spirit, but it wasn’t enough, he needed to also be anointed.
With Divine anointing, we can do extraordinary things. Even Jesus had to be anointed. The Bible tells us that Jesus went about doing good and healing people after he was anointed.” – Acts 10:38.
Anointing is simply God’s endorsem*nt showing that He is with you or has sent you.
Anointing is like electricity, when it flows it generates power, Now power is ability to do work so when the anointing flows it gives the anointed power to what is normally humanly impossible to do. David was anointed and commissioned before becoming king of Israel (1sam 16:13).
In 1 Samuel17 v 32-37 David said when the anointing of God came upon me, A Lion came; I beat him to death, a Bear came, I beat him to death, that same anointing is still on me and I can tackle Goliath.
In Judges 14 v 5-6 when an anointing flow in Samson, he tore a lion into two and I am decreeing today that because of the anointing of God that is going to come on you, any lion that standing on your way will be dead in the name of Jesus. Now when anointing (electricity) stops flowing in the life of the anointed, we say he suffers power failure. Judges 16v 20-21 when Samson suffered power failure the result was not a pleasant thing at all. He said I would go as before; I will scatter my enemy like before but he didn’t know that anointing of God has departed from him. He expected the anointing to flow but there was power failure.
For all of you who are connected to this prayer program, I pray that for the rest of your life you will never suffer power failure. Let the anointing of GOD upon you be forever.
FRESH anointing is like new wine in an old wine skin; it is strong, it is not just strong but aggressive and pushy If there is anything that it is trying to hinder it, it is going to fight it. Fresh or New’ means not used before. As new clothe, new cars, something nobody had used before. So new anointing can bring surprises. when Fresh anointing came on Jesus he started surprising everyone (Acts. 10:38).
How To Get Fresh Anointing:
Spend regular Time with God. According to Acts 4 vs 13, when Peter and John manifested the anointing, they were easily recognised as men who had been with Jesus. Encounter God Through His Word (Rom 10:17). The word of god is like a trigger for the anointing. Pray fervently (James 5:16; Jude 1:20).
Just like athletes that trains regularly to maintain fitness, it is necessary for a Christian to stir up the anointing by regular spiritual exercise.
I want you to please stand on your feet and with all your heart I want you to cry unto God and say “father, soak me in your Fresh anointing today”, tell him what you will do with the anointing. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God…. I pray that A new anointing will begin to operate in your life today in Jesus name In Jesus Mighty name we have prayed. Amen.

1) In 1 Sam. 2:10 your word said that you will give strength to your king and will exalt the horn of your anointed. REFLECTION
A death that occurs before the typical age of death in a population is referred to as premature death. Some countries set it at 70, while others set it at 75, and so on.
Unfortunately, the world has produced so many things in this life that are a threat to our survival on a daily basis. It might be anything from the food we consume to the road we drive on to our environment.
Accidents, cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung illness, liver disease, Aids, Covid-19, spiritual attack, and other causes of premature death are among the most common causes of mortality. The list could go on and on. It follows that the only person who can now save us is God. friends, we must pray for long life and good health at all times.
Begin praying your way out of every meeting with death. You will live and not die, according to Psalm 118:17. I pray that you will survive long enough to praise God for his protection over you today. Our God is a God who saves.
Hebrews 5:7, Jesus prayed to the only one who can save him. Only God can save us from all the deadly arrows aimed at us. Beloved in Christ, According to Revelation 1:18, Jesus now holds the key to death.

REFLECTION:
Divine destiny is defined as God’s purpose for an individual; That plan of God that he has concerning you before he started building you. (Jer. 1:4-5, Gal. 1:5, Luke 1:13-15, Rom 9:9-13. ).Your existence is not by accident. God is the master builder. He not only build houses, he builds cities. (Heb 11:10). Above all He specializes in building people. Ex 1:21, Heb. 11:10, 1 Cor. 3: 9 and like every master builder, He builds with plan.
Destiny has its existence in the sovereignty of God. Ps 105: 3, 1 Cor. 3:9-10.
Ps 33:8-11 affirms the destiny of any individual is normally a settled matter before he was born, but occasionally, there might be human interference and diversion.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS IN MY DESTINY:
According to Isaiah 46:9-10, Rev 1:8. God usually gives a hint as to what your destiny is. For Example: Joseph in Gen. 37:5-11, God gave Joseph a hint of what his destiny would be through a dream even though in Gen. 37:18-28, hindrances arose through his brothers. 2. Moses- Gen. 15:13-14, years before Moses was born, God gave a hint of what Moses’ destiny would be. 3. The same with David- 1 Sam 16:1-13, and Paul; Gal 1:14-17, Acts 7:57-59, Acts 9:1-30.
(1) However, Destinies can be truncated. It is only God who can fulfill destinies; He might decide to tear apart the destiny of anyone who thinks he can do it on his own. E.g. Samson- Judges 16:1-30, King Saul-1 Sam 9:25-27, 1 Sam 10:9-10, 1 Sam 15:1-21.
(2) Destinies can also be totally reversed. Ephraim- Gen. 48:8-20, Deut. 33:17, Hos. 4:17, Hos. 5:9. Destinies can also be reversed in a positive or negative way. E.g. the Tribe of Levi- Gen 49:1-7, Ex. 32:25-26, Num. 3:11-13, Prov. 8:17, James 4:7.
WHAT MUST I DO TO FULFILL MY DESTINY?
1. Find out what those who fulfill their destiny did & find out what those who failed did.
FLEE YOUTHFUL LUST; Joseph- Gen.39:10-12, Joseph decided to flee because he didn't want to offend God. 2 Tim.2:22;
3. WATCH YOUR TEMPER; Moses- Num.20:1-12; He never made it to the promise land i.e., he lost his temper.
4. HONOR GOD WITH YOUR FIRST FRUIT; Eli- 1 Sam 2: 30. Honor God so that He may honor you, Prov.3:9-10;
5. OBEY GOD COMPLETELY; Saul -1 SAM 15:19-29- He was a practical person to learn from, He chose to obey God partially and this act caused him his entire destiny as a ruler. Anytime you want to obey God, read what He says and do all accordingly.
6. No matter what you become, stay Close to God - One of the greatest problems of success is Comfort it can hinder walking with God sometimes.
7. DON'T REST UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR GOAL; Paul- Phil 3:7-14- Many people don't reach their destiny because they got tired too soon, they stopped pressing forward too soon. Don't stop too soon, you must live a sacrificial life, fasting, praying & seeking God. No one is too old to keep pressing forward.
8.Everybody needs at least one destiny helper in his or her lifetime. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to accomplish the work of redemption, and yet He needed destiny helpers. (Mark 3:14). You must seek God’s face to provide appropriate destiny helpers for you.
I pray God to help you fulfill your destiny. I pray that all opportunities you have lost, may be restored to you fully. May God eradicate all destiny destroyers in your life today. May all those great dreams you had in the past, let them be fulfilled this year. In the name of Jesus Christ.Amen

PRAISE AND WORSHIP
REFLECTION:
A peculiar generation is the generation of those who have obtained mercy and through it have become solution providers and barrier breakers. They are an unstoppable group of God’s children. We have a good number of them in the Bible. The problem with many believers is that they find it difficult to believe what the scripture says about them. We allow the devil to convince us, telling us that we are not as qualified as God says we are, and that we do not have the ability to do what the Word says we can do. God created us in His own image and gave us the ability to reign on earth. The capabilities and qualities required for us to exercise our priesthood were also given to us. However, many people are not exercising their positions as priests because they do not believe they are priests. They allow the opinions of others to determine how they live; they do not have minds of their own. People commit suicide on a daily basis because they know so little about themselves; they have no idea who they really are. As a child of God, you need to know that every word said about you in the Bible is ever dependable and reliable. It doesn’t matter the circ*mstances surrounding you at any given time, you must always see yourself as God sees you. Always see yourself in a positive light. Encourage yourself in the Lord no matter what happens. Every morning when you rise up, know that you are a victor and not a victim; there is much more to you than you can see. There is much more to you than you can see. The Israelites saw themselves as grasshoppers before the giants, but in the mind of God the opposite was the case (Num.13:33).
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” (Proverbs 23:7)
The perception of who you are is crucial to your walk with God. As a royal priesthood, you are an embodiment of beauty, power and royalty, a chosen generation, solution providers and barrier breakers. You are an epitome of God’s glory. You are created in the very image and likeness of God. All things created, visible and invisible are under your feet. This is why you need to take your place and not allow your life to be ruined by the devil and evil manipulations.
The nature of royalty as given to you by God must reflect in your appearances, actions, associations, discussion and how you declare in your prayers things concerning your future.
I pray that the glory of the will never depart from you, that the heavenly Father will renew your anointing in this great generation of peculiar chosen people. 1Jn.4:4- greater is He in you than who is the world, now stand up raise your right hand and declare what you want for this year. REFLECTION:
Favor is an act performed out of good will, generosity, or mercy. An approving attitude. Divine favor makes the difference in our everyday life. If the Lord favors you, many things in your life will become easy. The word of God does not come void, so if we start praying and decreeing His word, favor will pursue us and overtake us in Jesus name.
The favor of God can be described as “tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord.” When we favor someone, we want to be with him or her. We delight in him/her. We connect with him/her in a way we don’t connect with everyone else. We usually favor people who also favor us. In the same way, God shows favor to the ones who delight in, connect with, and give honor to Him. Isaiah 66:2 says, “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” To be “perfect” toward Him means we seek His favor more than we seek the favor of anyone else, even ourselves.

Praise and thanksgivingshould be the lifestyle of every believer. Every praiseful christian is a joyful christian and every joyful christian will always carry the presence of God around. The bible tells us that in the presence of God there is fullness of Joy, Psalms 16:11. When we praise God, we command His attention, when we praise God, he steps into our situations, when we praise God, we let Him know that we trust Him even in the midst of our trials. Today i have compiled 30 prayers of praise and thanksgiving. These praise prayer points will bring down the presence of God in our lives.
To praise God means to magnify God, and to magnify God means to make God bigger than our situations and circ*mstances. We must learn to praise God because of who He is, not because of just what he will do in our lives, but because of who He is. In 2 Chronicles 20:20-24, we see the Isrealitespraising God in the midst of there battles, in Acts 16:25, we see Paul and Silas praising God in chains.
