I am translating a cookbook from Spanish to English. It is intended primarily for the English-speaking countries of the Caribbean and Africa. In recipes such as "Stuffed Cassava Cannelloni" where the recipe reads "One cup of cassava flour, 1 egg, 1 tsp salt, etc., etc., ¿filling or stuffing? of your choice, etc. which word is preferable for those of you who speak British English?

Thank you very much indeed. So the recipe title should also be changed to Filled Cassava Cannelloni? Would simply Cassava Cannelloni be best, as cannelloni implies filling?

Cassava Cannelloni would be a better recipe title. Smauler is right with regards to how stuffing and filling differ from each other. Normally, stuffing is used for stuff placed inside an animal (e.g. chicken).

    Aren't Cannelloni always filled?

"Cassava Cannelloni" tells me that the cannelloni are filled with cassava, at least partially. You don't need to say it's filled, it's obvious.

Many thanks to both of you. I have just changed many "stuffings" to "fillings" and will change the name of this dish as well.
