The following is a complete list of both the kanji and the various symbols that appear in the Dragon Ball series.

Yamcha's kanji, 樂, pronounced raku or gaku, means "comfort" and "ease". During early Dragon Ball, Yamcha dons this kanji on the front of his uniform until he meets and trains under Master Roshi. 樂 is a much more widely used kanji in Chinese than Japanese.

Monster Carrot Kanji, 兎, pronounced usagi and meaning "rabbit". Monster Carrot wears this kanji as a large patch on the front of his uniform.

Emperor Pilaf's Kanji, 炒饭, pronounced chǎofàn in Mandarin and meaning "fried rice". This kanji is worn by Pilaf as a large front patch. 炒饭 is a Chinese way of writing the kanji rather than Japanese.

List of symbols (4)

Master Roshi's kanji, 亀, pronounced kame and meaning "turtle", is the kanji that all of those trained under Master Roshi are given to wear after completing their training. This kanji is a patch worn on the top left side of the Turtle School Uniform, and on a much larger patch on the back. It also is drawn on the back of the stone Roshi had Goku and Krillin search for during the early days of their training under him. It also appears on the Ultimate Turtle Hermit Costume in Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. In Xenoverse 2, it also appears on the left breast of the Trendy Bikini (females only) and the Swimsuit special costumes for Videl and Android 18.

Mercenary Tao's kanji, 殺, pronounced satsu and meaning "kill". Tao wears this kanji on the front of his uniform, and on the back has "kill you" written in English.

Crane's kanji, 鶴, pronounced tsuru and meaning "crane". Master Shen wears this kanji on the front of his uniform, as do Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu before becoming Z Fighters.

Chiaotzu's Kanji, 餃, pronounced gyo and meaning "dumpling". Chiaotzu wears this kanji as a large patch on the front of his Qipao but removes it during Dragon Ball Z. However, in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and the God of Destruction Beerus Saga, Chiaotzu once again wears it as a large patch on the front of his Qipao.

Master Mutaito's kanji 武 (pronounced bu in Japanese) means "martial arts"/"martial artist" or "military". This symbol is worn by those trained under Master Mutaito. It is also the logo for the World Martial Arts Tournament. In Xenoverse 2, it appears on the front and back of Mutaito's Gi.

King Piccolo's kanji, 魔, pronounced ma and meaning "demon", "devil", or "evil spirit". King Piccolo wears this kanji on the front of his uniform, as does Piccolo Jr. as a young child. Piccolo Jr. also gives Gohan this kanji while under his training. The word majin also borrows from this symbol (meaning the same things).

Kami's kanji, 神, pronounced kami and meaning "god". Kami wears this patch on the front of his robes, and is stitched in. During Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler, Dende is briefly shown wearing Kami's old outfit. Goku's Doll wears a modified Turtle School Uniform featuring this symbol on the back and front as well.

Ox-King's kanji, 牛, pronounced gyū and meaning "ox" or "cow". Towards the end of Dragon Ball, Ox-King begins wearing a hat with this kanji on it and continues to wear it throughout Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT.

Goku's family kanji, 孫, pronounced son and meaning "descendant", stands for the families' surname (Son Goku). Gohan wears this patch in early Dragon Ball Z as a large patch on the front of his tunic.

King Kai's kanji, 界王, pronounced kaiō and meaning "world king" King Kai wears these two kanji on a large, round patch on the front of his uniform. When Goku dons it, he wears it only on the back of his uniform, keeping the Turtle School's kanji on the top left of the front of his uniform. Yamcha wears it in reverse to Goku, having the Kai kanji on the front and the Turtle kanji on the back. It also appears on the back of Goku's Tracksuit which he wore while training on King Kai's Planet in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.

Goku's kanji, 悟, pronounced Go (meaning "wisdom" or "enlightenment") is the kanji that Goku sports on both the front and back of his uniform after completing his intense gravity training on board his spaceship on his way to Namek. Goku continues to wear this kanji until the arrival of the Androids, after which he stops wearing a kanji altogether for the rest of the Dragon Ball Z series. He also wears this kanji in the Dragon Ball Z movies The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge and Battle of Gods, the Dragon Ball Super anime, and the Dragon Ball Super movies Broly and Super Hero. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, however, he stops wearing this kanji again between the events of the God of Destruction Beerus Saga and Super Hero Saga. This symbol is also on Goku's House.

Gohan's kanji, 飯 pronounced han and meaning "meal" or "boiled rice". Future Gohan, the alternate timeline counterpart of Gohan dons this kanji as a large patch on his back.

Grand Kai's kanji, 大, pronounced dai and meaning "grand" or "greatest". This kanji is worn by Grand Kai on both his uniform and hat. In Xenoverse 2, Grand Kai's Hat appears as a wearable accessory for the Future Warrior.

Tien Shinhan's kanji, 天, pronounced ten (or tien in Mandarin Chinese) and meaning "sky" or "heavens". Tien wears this kanji in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ and Dragon Ball Super. In Xenoverse 2, Tien wears this kanji as part of his Qipao costume skillset. In Dragon Ball Super, the Tien-Shin Style Dojo uniform given to Yurin by Master Roshi features a black and white version on its left shoulder indicating it is the symbol of the Tien-Shin Style Dojo.

List of symbols (18)Symbol worn by Goku and Vegeta in the film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ and in the Golden Frieza and Universe 6 sagas of Dragon Ball Super. It is Whis' signature. It also appears on the Super-Heavy Training outfits Whis made Goku and Vegeta wear during the beginning of the Universe 6 Saga. In Xenoverse 2, Whis' draws his symbol on Beerus' forehead with a permanent marker while sparring with Beerus and the Future Warrior. Though Beerus tries to wash it off, it remains on his forehead after the battle and appears as a playable alternate skin for Beerus called God of Destruction Clothes 2.List of symbols (19)

Neko Majin Z, the Neko Majin trained by Goku, wears this symbol, ネ, on the front of his dogi. Pronounced ne, this symbol is unlike most symbols adorned on the dogis in the series in that it is in katakana, a Japanese writing system typically used for borrowed words.

This is the symbol used by King Gurumes' henchmen as seen on their upper left suit.

List of symbols (21)

The Red Ribbon Army symbol, worn by all members. Most members don this symbol on their uniform as small patches. The Red Ribbon Androids created by Dr. Gero are seen with the patch located on their apparel. In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, it is also utilized by the Red Ribbon front company, Red Pharmaceuticals. In order to infiltrate their base, Piccolo dons a uniform featuring the symbol as a disguise.

Garlic Jr.'s symbol, which is an image of a yellow castle, possibly showing the connection to his father's attempt at gaining the throne as Guardian of Earth. Garlic Jr. wears this as a large patch on the front of his uniform.

List of symbols (23)

The Saiyan Royal Family symbol worn by those of Saiyan royal blood. This symbol appears painted onto the armor that is worn by King Vegeta and his son, Vegeta. In Xenoverse 2, King Vegeta's Battle Armor can be obtained by the Future Warrior. Though a member of the royal House of Vegeta and technically a Prince, Tarble does not wear this symbol, presumably to hide his royal status when he was banished from Planet Vegeta as he was considered an embarrassment by King Vegeta due to his gentle nature and lack of aggression.

Ginyu Special Corps Logo, worn by all members of the Ginyu Force. Each member dons the symbol on the top right corner of their armor's chest plate. This symbol is also present on the Ginyu Force's space pods.

Cooler's Armored Squadron Symbol, worn by Cooler's three top henchmen, Salza, Neiz, and Dore. This symbol is worn on different parts of the warriors' battle armor.

Capsule Corporation logo, used as the business' logo as well as on clothes. Future Trunks wears the logo as a small patch on the top of his left arm. Bulma Leigh wears Potara-like earrings that feature the logo. An alternate version of the logo is worn by Future Trunks on his jacket in Dragon Ball Super. It also appears on the Time Patroller Suit in Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2. Goku wears it on his Gi and Vegeta wears it on his Battle Armor in the Prison Planet Saga. In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Bulma's pink and green jacket has the CC logo on the back.

List of symbols (27)

Demon mark, the symbol originating with Majin Buu. Used by Babidi to show control over subjects, such as Dabura, Spopovich, & Yamu. This symbol appears on the controlled person's head (or chest in the case of Yakon) as a large M. Captain Bacterian's Pirates also use the symbol. In Dragon Ball Heroes , it appears on the foreheads of the Destruction Kings (or helmet in the case of Lord Slug). In Xenoverse 2, the symbol is called Majin Mark and appear as an accessory that causes the symbol to appear on a wearer's forehead (Saiyans & Earthlings only) when equipped.

The logo of the Frieza Force, it is primarily styled as a large "F" in order to display Frieza's control over the organization.

List of symbols (29)

The symbol of Orange Star High School worn by Gohan and Videl in the form of a badge when they attended High School. It also appears on baseball caps worn by Sharpner and some of the students. In Xenoverse 2, Videl reveals she considers the badge she wore to be really cute when spoken to while wearing her Orange Star High School T-Shirt.

The logo of the Time Breakers. It appears to be based on the golden infinity symbol hairband/crown that Towa and Churai wear. It also appears on the foreheads of those in the Supervillain state in Xenoverse 2. The Masked Saiyan and Masked Future Warrior wear the symbol on their masks in Xenoverse 2.

The logo of the Time Patrol. Appears on the Time Patrol outfits and Vehicle Capsule #315 in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

The old Galactic Patrol logo featured in Sachie-chan Guu!!. Sachie Momochi has a birthmark on her butt that resembles this logo.

List of symbols (34)

The modern Galactic Patrol logo commonly worn on the uniforms of Galactic Patrolman. Replaces the old logo featured in Sachie-chan Guu!!. First seen in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman. During the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, the logo is added to Goku's Turtle School Gi and Vegeta's Battle Armor while they are working as temporary members of the Galactic Patrol. In Xenoverse 2, it appears on Jaco's Suit.

List of symbols (36)

The Majin emblem, it appears as a large red D and is worn by Demigra on his outfit. The symbol also appears as part of his "Majin emblem" explosion technique.
