Reviews Three middle-aged couples at a crossroads in their marriages get the chance to turn back time and swap their current spouses for much younger partners, allowing them to see what life could be like before deciding to either return to their marriages or legally split. The series is described as a social experiment based on the current trend of "age-gap" couples, which usually refer to an age difference of at least 10 years between partners. As if having one's partner be with someone else wouldn't be hard enough, all of the contestants will be living under the same roof for the month, so there is sure to be unexpected drama. Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media This tacky unscripted series raises questions about what makes a strong marriage within conversations about age and sexual experimentation. Rated: 2/5 Jan 4, 2023 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Reality dating shows don’t have to make total sense to be entertaining, but Love For The Ages feels like a show that could actually tear families apart, which isn’t entertaining at all. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the direct inspiration for the name from Duong, Lee, and Wang came from an equivalent scene in the 1992 Canadian film Léolo.
Unfortunately, their experience on the show taught them that they both have a lot of growing to do as individuals before they can make a relationship work the way they need it to. So, Marioxi made the difficult decision to part ways with Richard, and now they're both living life apart.
On the film review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, films that every surveyed critic considered bad have a 0% rating. As of 2023, only 40 films with 20 reviews have received this rating.
The reality show separated three married couples and had each spouse socialize with single men or women to test their existing relationships. In the end, two couples stayed together and one separated for good.
