Purpose: Help students in 7th-12th grade find their greatest pleasure and purpose in Jesus.

Responsible to: Student Pastor

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Model and encourage spiritual growth, proper personal priorities, and healthy relationships.
  • Work alongside Southcrest staff for the growth and health of all Southcrest students.
  • Work alongside parents to encourage and equip them as the primary disciple makers of their children.
  • Focuses a lot of time and energy on student discipleship
  • Foster a healthy team environment.
  • Lead follow up strategy for visitors.
  • Leads out in executing student ministry events (discipleship, outreach, camps, etc)
  • Plan and execute Sunday morning Life Group time with students.
  • Continue development of Sunday morning small group leaders.
  • Share Wednesday night teaching responsibilities with the Student Pastor
  • Be available for counseling and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Student Ministry Administrative Assistant for systems such as F1Go, Planning Center, Google Calendar, etc.
  • Meet with the Student Team for planning and culture building.

Time Requirements: This is a full time position and may at times require extended hours to meet the needs of the ministry.

Experience and Education:

  • Experience in a growing, local church ministry
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s is preferable
