Check your network connection
Make sure your Android phone is connected to Wi-Fi and has a strong signal—you'll need it for Visual Voicemail to work. You can also try turning Airplane mode on and off to refresh your cellular connection.
To go to call settings, Tap the three vertical dots on top right of screen and then tap Settings. Scroll down and tap Voicemail option.
Where is my voicemail list? ›Here's how to access voicemail on Android by tapping a notification: Step 1: With your screen unlocked Swipe Down from the top of your screen. This will bring up your notifications. Scroll down until you see the Voicemail.
Where are voicemail messages stored? ›Voicemail messages are typically stored in the mobile carrier's servers; they're not automatically stored on the phone itself, but they can be backed up to iCloud or a computer.
What number do I dial to retrieve voicemail? ›Try dialing (or pressing and holding) 1.
Some phones use the number 1 as their voicemail number. Occasionally, it's not even necessary to dial the number — simply hold the 1 button down for a few seconds, then move the phone to your ear.
Your Android smartphone needs to be connected to your cellular provider to receive voicemail. Turn Airplane Mode on and off. To reset your Android phone's connection to your cellular provider, enable Airplane mode for several seconds and then turn it off. Free up space on your Android smartphone.
Why am I not getting voicemail notifications? ›No voicemail notifications
If you're not getting notifications of new voicemails, try deleting texts or text threads (there are apps you can use to back them up before deleting them). If your text message box is full, your device may not be able to accept new texts or notifications, including those for voicemail.
Contact Your Carrier to Undelete Voicemails
Visit your phone carrier's website, or use their app if there is one, to reach out to them about restoring deleted voicemails. If your voicemail can be undeleted, the window of opportunity is likely small. Some carriers let you save voicemails to a different location.
On an Android phone, open your phone app and enter your voicemail provider's phone number on the dial pad. Alternatively, press and hold the 'one' key to speed-dial your voicemail box. If prompted, enter the voicemail password for your voicemail phone service.
Where is my voicemail app located? ›The Voicemail app comes pre-installed on your Android phone and can be found within Applications. The app is designed to already know it's you, so there's no need for you to sign in. However, if for any reason it doesn't recognize you, you will be asked to sign in upon opening the app for the first time.
Find the voicemail area of the app. Look for a menu or a folder that refers to deleted voicemails, such as trash or deleted items. Tap the voicemail for more options, or look for a menu that lets you restore or export the voicemail.
