WWE SmackDown Results: Cody Rhodes Confronts AJ Styles, The Bloodline Anoints Member (2024)

Cody Rhodes may want to do more fighting than talking on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown, and you'll want to settle in for live results.

Rhodes thought he was congratulating AJ Styles on a stellar in-ring career to end last week's episode of the blue brand. Instead, he ate a clothesline and a Styles Clash from the ringsteps onto the floor. "The American Nightmare" wants to knuckle up with "The Phenomenal One" tonight.

That's not all on the docket for Friday Night SmackDown, as a top faction will officially welcome a new member to the group.

Kevin Owens has been a thorn in the side of The Bloodline, but will he make things even more personal tonight? Tonga Loa will officially be anointed by Solo Sikoa into The Bloodline. Is Owens prepared to crash the party?

Jade Cargill will be in action tonight, going one-on-one with Indi Hartwell. Cargill will have her fellow WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair with her at ringside.

Also, WWE recently announced that Apollo Crews will take on Angel of Legado del Fantasma on tonight's show. Angel cost Crews his match against Andrade last week.

WWE SmackDown Results (June 7, 2024)

After a recap of the conclusion of SmackDown last week, Cody Rhodes was shown in the parking lot and he wasn't in a good mood.

Solo was out to anoint Tonga Loa into The Bloodline. Heyman didn't look too happy. Kevin Owens and The Street Profits spoiled the party, attacking The Bloodline.

Backstage, Solo got angry with Heyman for not handling the KO problem.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs. Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae

The teams of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, and Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark were at ringside. Jade got the pin on Indi. After the match, Jade and Bianca were attacked by the other teams. Eventually, Jade and Bianca hit their finishers on Fyre and Dawn.

Winners: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair

Backstage, Cody Rhodes wasn't having it when Nick Aldis tried getting him to calm down

LA Knight spoke to Aldis, but he was interrupted by Carmelo Hayes.

Legado del Fantasma attacked Apollo Crews backstage. The match with Angel is off.

Johnny Gargano vs. Grayson Waller

Waller seemingly pulled Austin Theory into a suicide dive from Gargano. Waller took advantage to pin Johnny.

Winner: Grayson Waller

Aldis brought a security team to prevent Cody from going after AJ Styles.

Cody was in the ring and demanded AJ Styles to make his way out. AJ obliged. Cody suggested an I Quit match, which Nick Aldis approved of.

LA Knight vs. Carmelo Hayes

Knight tossed Hayes over the announce table going into a break. Knight picked up the win, and after the match he grabbed the commentary headset and said he'd bring the fight to Logan Paul.

Winner: LA Knight

Nia Jax and Michin brawled backstage.

Bayley and Piper Niven had an in-ring segment. Bayley admitted Piper has paid her dues, but she'll have fun beating her at Clash at the Castle.

Logan Paul cut a promo on LA Knight from his home. He called Knight a "walking catchphrase."

Kevin Owens and The Street Profits vs. The Bloodline

Kevin Owens & The Street Profits won via DQ.

After the match, Solo hit a Spear on Montez. The Bloodline then Powerbombed Kevin Owens through an announce table, Shield style, to close the show.
